510 Bar & Cafe Reviews

This is a smoking bar but it was not very smokey nor hazy. The server was great. They clean up counters as soon as people leave. Saturday night they had a great band (Pazzaz). Place to dance, place to sit, they have games and parking is free. I will definitely go back. 4 star only because the smoking.

Great bar!! One of the few places where a local resident can feel at home and enjoy a good ole fashioned bar! Excellent service, great drinks, good live bands on Fri and Sat, play pool, and enjoy a smoke, cigar, or vape in a friendly atmosphere. Surprisingly not very smokey either! One of the few great neighborhood bars where you can sit, relax and enjoy.

I am giving this 4 stars because of the steak night special. For under $20 you get salad, 2 red potatoes, 1 corn, and a huge ribeye. This was so much food and steak was done nicely. However, you need to know where you are going. If you're looking for a hole in the wall, this is it. The downfall is this place is SMOKEY! I feel like I smoked a pack of cigarettes just by sitting in there and I do not smoke. This is a dive bar my in-laws and some of their friends go so we wanted to join them. The service and food was great. Just know the atmosphere before you go. If you're looking for a steak house, this is not it.

It's a sleepy old person bar both times I've been in, and it's just what I'm looking for. They've got some shuffleboard tables and a couple of pool tables if that's your thing( I love shuffleboard so it's right up my alley. Coming back again soon for sure. Not as cheep as Einstein's down the street but that doesn't matter that much. ($3 as apposed to $4 for well drinks) 4.75/5 for that.

We came in around 8:45 pm. Waited for about 15 minutes for a table. I like the idea of each person has their own hot pot. The chicken and beef are very tasty. Veggies are very fresh. Server is very prompt. Business is busy. But the restroom is not very clean.

The 510 Bar is the place H meets up with his buddies every Friday night for their weekly "meeting". Sometimes, I go with him. This bar is a certified dive. Being in Katy, they let you smoke inside so be prepared to walk into a wall of smelly stale cigarette eau de toilette. They have the usual video games & the boys can be found around the back tables near the golf game. There's a couple pool tables & a shuffleboard table. The bartenders are awesome, quick to refill a drink & run it by your table. The drinks are cheap which keeps a regular crowd of bar flies happy. Dive, nice staff & cheap drinks. If you can get over the smell, you'll do fine here.

Located at 510 S Mason Rd, Katy, TX 77450, this cozy spot has become a favorite hangout for both casual diners and nightlife lovers. The moment the lights dim and the music kicks in, you realize it’s more than a cafe—it's a community hub.
The menu at 510 Bar & Cafe surprises in the best way. It’s not just bar snacks and basic drinks. Instead, you’ll find loaded nachos, perfectly crispy wings tossed in sauces with just the right amount of heat, and burgers stacked with flavor. Their signature dishes—like the jalapeño-stuffed burger or the chicken tacos—pack a punch and keep regulars hooked. It’s clear the kitchen doesn’t cut corners, and the crowd reflects that: groups celebrating birthdays, coworkers unwinding on Friday nights, or just a couple on a low-key date.
As someone who’s stopped by on both quiet weekday evenings and buzzing weekend nights, I’ve seen how the atmosphere shifts in the best way. One night, I watched a small local band play live on stage while sipping a house margarita. On another visit, the bar was alive with trivia night energy—fun, welcoming, and never too loud to chat.

One thing that stands out is the consistency. Whether it's lunch on a Tuesday or late dinner on a Saturday, the dishes come out hot, fresh, and well-seasoned. The wings have that perfect crunch, and the burgers always feel freshly grilled, never dry. For those who love to explore, the rotating specials add a twist to the usual picks—think brisket sliders or spicy shrimp wraps.

Beyond the food, what really gives 510 Bar and Grill its charm is the atmosphere. It’s where food meets fun, and each visit offers a different experience. Weekends turn things up a notch with live DJs, themed events, and karaoke nights that bring out Katy's most fun-loving crowd. You’ll find groups celebrating milestones or just blowing off steam with a few pitchers of beer and loaded nachos. But even on busier nights, the service remains attentive and fast. The staff knows the menu, remembers returning faces, and keeps the good vibes flowing.
There’s something special about a place that feels local yet delivers consistently solid food, drinks, and entertainment. It’s not trying to be a big-name franchise, and that’s exactly the appeal. You’re not just another customer—you’re part of the regular scene.
What visitors say and why locals keep coming back
If you browse through reviews of 510 Bar & Cafe, a few themes pop up again and again: solid food, great drinks, and a lively, welcoming vibe. Guests mention the warm service and friendly bartenders just as often as they praise the spicy buffalo wings or well-priced drinks. For many, it’s become their Friday night tradition or the first stop when showing friends around Katy.
Locals especially appreciate how the location—right off Mason Rd—makes it an easy spot to reach, whether you’re dropping in after work or making it a night out. It’s near enough to central Katy yet avoids the overcrowded feel of more touristy bars. You’re likely to bump into neighbors, coworkers, or old classmates without even planning it.
One night I spoke to a regular who said it best: "It’s not the fanciest place, but it’s where I feel most at home." That kind of loyalty doesn’t come from slick marketing—it comes from genuine good times, memorable meals, and consistent service.
510 Bar & Cafe might not make the headlines, but in the heart of Katy, it’s already famous for all the right reasons. Whether you're looking for a hearty meal, a cold drink, or just a laid-back spot to spend an evening, it’s worth pulling up a chair and seeing why everyone keeps coming back.
Expect to smell like Marlboro afterwards. The shuffle board is free, which is great. Two pool tables and live music on Friday- great stop in between bar. The service was great and friendly! Didn't taste the food. Couple of slot machines as well if you're into that thing
